Student-Run PR Firm!

Recently I have been playing around with the idea of starting a PR club on my campus. Normally, a club includes lectures, guest speakers, and networking. That's all good and very necessary, but I wanted to create something that would benefit students past a classroom and offer hands-on experience for all. In PR, it's one thing to be taught what to do and what the industry is like, but it's another to do it!

The name will be "Mountain Lion Pride", with great emphasis on the PR in pride! Below I have attached my proposed ideas for the mission statement! And also a logo that I designed myself! Please take a look and let me know what you think! I am open to any type of critiques and  I have not yet done anything permanent yet because I want to continue doing my research to ensure this will be a long standing club.

 Thanks Beans!

UCCS’s Student-Run PR Firm
Mountain Lion PRide is an organization that offers students who are interested in Public Relations the opportunity to gain hands on experience by working for real clients, making real campaigns, and building a real portfolio!
Within this organization members will build onto their levels of professionalism and knowledge of the Public Relations industry. By actively participating in their roles as account executives, account supervisors, and also PR staff students will have real-world experience to take with them far past graduation.
The name is derived from the spirit of the campus and the organization. The “Mountain Lion” is UCCS’s mascot named Boomer! The “pride” is what helps UCCS function every day. Students at UCCS have pride in their school and students that are members of Mountain Lion PRide are no different.
